Now upon minimizing the wastes, it is also important that you do not forget about the customers. One of the many mistakes that business owners do is to eliminate the processes that they think will not help them achieve their current targets and they do this to minimize cost. They instantly forget that the customers want quality products and services. Thus, when they cut the costs of their activities, they instantly reduce the quality of their offers to the clients. Customer value should be maximized whenever there is the task of minimizing the wasteful processes. It is a good thing that we have the lean initiative. Lean initiatives have proved to be one of the most helpful when it comes to reducing or getting rid of the processes that do not support the business goals. There are now many advocates of lean management that have experienced a lot of good things but they also have had some rough times.The advocates of lean management understand that this is not a system that can provide instant success into the business. There is a need to learn about its philosophy, the practices involved as well as the lean management theories. Being able to completely comprehend the meaning and the essence of the system will enable one to follow the lean culture effectively. Sustaining gains is something that is not easy for the lean users. However, if they are able to deliver quality goods to their customers, there is no doubt that they will be able to attain success because there is contentment on the side of the buyers.According to the lean management theories, the productivity of the company is definitely increased due to the fact that there is focused improvement on the business processes with the intention of eliminating the wastes. However, most of the advocates of lean management also find this difficult because they have to come up with significant upfront investment in order to achieve standardized processing. Thus, they find it hard to come up with a new way of carrying out their processes and usually, it takes several years just to master the new methodologies.One of the things that the advocates of lean management have noticed is that there is a change in the attitudes - not only with them but with the entire organization. Although this is a good thing for most of the users, they find that this can be quite challenging particularly if they are not well slated in dealing with the changes in their business. Still, there is a way around this and that is to become prepared in order to efficiently unite the workforce so that everyone in the company is willing to accept the changes in the organization no matter how small they may be. For the advocates of lean management, it is always great to balance the disadvantages and the advantages of the principle that they are supporting. Being able to come up with solutions that will cover the drawbacks of lean will definitely make the company better.
